Frequently Asked Questions:

1. How do I find the right therapist?

A positive relationship between client and therapist is one of the greatest predictors of positive outcomes in psychotherapy. I always encourage people to meet with potential therapist(s) before making a commitment to work together. Each therapist has a unique “style” and temperament that will be more apparent in a face to face meeting. To help potential clients figure out if we’d be a good match, I offer a free 30-minute initial consultation.

2. What are your fees?

For individuals my standard fee is $180 for a 50 minute session.
For relationship therapy with two or more people (traditionally known as “couples counseling”), my standard fee is $230 for a 50 minute session.

I offer several sliding scale spaces for folks who are unable to afford my full fee. If interested, please contact me to ask about current sliding scale availability.

3. Do you take insurance?

I do not take insurance at this time, but I’m happy to provide you with invoices to submit for reimbursement if your insurance provider allows this. If you're interested in being reimbursed, I highly recommend that you contact your insurance provider before setting up an appointment to find out if they offer this.

4. Is your office accessible?

I am currently only offering video sessions. I do not have a physical office.
